The Tower is a charity dedicated to delivering arts & digital skills through performance, learning & development in the heart of the community.

We are the home of Helensburgh's two digital cinemas, a Film and TV school, a coding, web & app development training centre, a digital education centre, and host numerous arts organisations in the area.

Our Story

The Tower is run by a local arts charity and is managed by volunteers we are dedicated to delivering arts & digital skills through performance, learning & development in the heart of the community. We host live concerts, dance, opera, theatre, conferences and festivals as well as screening live events and the latest films in our two auditoriums.  

The centre is also home to Helensburgh Folk Academy, Helensburgh Youth Choir, Helensburgh Music Society, Helensburgh Coding Club, Argyll Young Filmmakers, Helensburgh Digital Photography Club and a host of digital training (we have state of the art training suites and studio and are an Authorised Apple and Blackmagic Training Centre) for the whole community. The centre holds up to 330 for events & concerts and is supported by over 200 local members. Our Scottish Charity Number is SC045568.

The Tower sits adjacent to The Scottish Submarine Centre which hosts the UK’s largest VR screen (50 metres long) and state of the art video mapping technologies. The Submarine Centre is Scotlands newest attraction, which honour submariners present and past and is home to a digital culture development initiative pioneering new ways to explore heritage artefacts.
